Design and implement a Microsoft-supported cross-tenant trust between a Japan subsidiary's Microsoft 365 tenant and its overseas headquarters, resolving blocked inter-company email while preserving headquarters security controls and mailbox per user.
- Diagnosed anti-impersonation filtering as the cause of blocked mail and chose Microsoft's intended cross-tenant affiliate pattern over a costly dual-mailbox workaround
- Configured full email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and migrated the domain's DNS to a modern DNSSEC-capable provider, with DMARC monitoring
- Established directory cross-tenant access settings on both tenants and coordinated a trusted-domain entry to stop false impersonation flags
- Added forced-TLS partner connectors and cross-tenant Teams collaboration, with a runbook for periodic review
